Multiple monitor focus window problem?
Here's the deal, I want to watch a UStream video in one monitor fullscreen, and be able to do other stuff on my other monitor like play a game. The problem is that whenever I switch focus to ANY part of the 2nd monitor, the video will shrink back to its original size on monitor 1. Does anyone know of any workarounds for this?

Dual monitor problem, can't get one to focus?
I have hooked up a second monitor to my video card. The main monitor 20"crt is hooked up with the vga port. The second is a 20" lcd-tv/monitor(no dvi input) hooked up with the s-video port, and my dvi port is open, as I plan on hooking my projector to it at a later time.
My problem is, the second (lcd) monitor, I can not focus. I've adjusted the sharpness on the pysical moniter, and it helps a little, but it is still unacceptably blurry.
Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated.
first ajust monitor setting to 1280 x 1204 that is the default for a LCD screen if is any smaller it will be blurry and crappy. If that does not work then you will have to get a new LCD monitor or contact the manufatur if it is still under warrenty.

Can a video monitoring system see what is on your computer screen?
If my office has a video monitoring camera installed in it and the camera is focused on my computer I am using in my office, can the image that is on my computer be picked up by the camera? Can my boss see that I am on the internet instead of working?
Usually when I see a computer screen on TV it shows only fuzzy lines and no image, this is why I ask.
Usually it's pretty hard to pick up the image this way. The camera refresh rate is usually 30hz, while the computer monitor can have any refresh rate you set it to, and there's not enough resolution. If the two refresh rates don't correspond to each other (or are not multiples of one another), usually it's hard to see much. Though if you are too obviously online, it may be possible to pick-up, though not what exactly you are doing...
But... don't hold your breath.
Per statistics you can easily find online - 76% of employers monitor their employees computer traffic in the US. They don't need to see your screen, to know you're online. Most workplace computers hooked up to internet through internal network, going through a proxy. It's very easy for a system administrator to set up a proxy such, that every time you access a web page outside your organization, time of access and URL are recorded and your employer will be able to see them along with some statistics as to how often and what web sites you visit. Then if they so desire they can even save the content of sites that is being loaded to your computer, and any info you send them (including passwords), unless it is encrypted, as in SSL web sites.
It does not end there. Some clever employees (though not as many as above) take it a step further. They quietly install software on your work computer, that allows a boss to peek at your screen anytime right through the network. They can pull up any employee's screen and watch what's on it. No external camera needed. Some even record all of your days activity.
Last but not least, some bosses (though even fewer) take it even further than that - they'd record your activity such as keystrokes and mouse clicks through the day! So they will have all your passwords you entered to external web sites...
So in short - forget about privacy in a workplace. That's your bosses computer, they own it, and they own you while you're on the clock... So usually all of these activities are all legal too!

Why is my eMachines 17f3 monitor suddenly out of focus?
Hey everyone,
I purchased a W3107 desktop PC one year ago February 8th and so far, it's been a very decent, dependable computer. However, for the last few days, my monitor has been out of focus. It has a somewhat bowed look, almost like an hour glass and is clearly off center. I've tried to unplug and plug it back in with the computer off, I've tried to adjust the refresh rate, uninstalled and re-installed the video driver, tried to reset using the monitor itself, and I've tried a few system restores -- all to no avail. I have not hit it, dropped it, or anything to that effect. Can anyone help?
Hi when,
I hear you and I believe by now you may realize that something is definitely wrong because you have been doing all the right things to get it back to normal. To confirm: You already tried to correct / reset the display in the monitor itself and it is still wrong.
If the problem was minor, the buttons on the monitor would have recentered the display and the hourglass would have straightened when the pincushion setting was increased in the monitor.
Even so, there is no "sharpen" or "blur" adjustments in the monitor or in the display adapter software.
This combination of errors tells me that your monitor is failing and will most likely die fail soon. I've seen this many times and it is impossible to tell how long it will be before there is no display at all. Sometimes it happens after days and I have even seen a screwed up monitor last longer than a year.
You may choose to pay for repairs but my opinion is that the repair costs would be almost enough to purchase a decent monitor upgrade.
If you want to make dead sure that the problem is the monitor and nothing else then try this: Take the monitor to another computer and plug it in. This is the easiest way to check it. If it reacts exactly the same then it is toast. You could also borrow a monitor and hook it to your PC. If the display is good when you do this, then your monitor is definitely bad.
Well, that my educated opinion. If you are ready to look for a monitor replacement, then check the links below and take a look. I have used these vendors and I recommend them because they are competitive, reliable and honest.

video effects: focus/blur?
can anyone tell if it's possible to make a video effect with sony vegas software that focuses on a specific thing in the video? I mean like filming a monitor and bluring everything else around it?
Thanks!
You can do something like that:
- put your clip on the timeline
- copy/paste or add the same clip again on a different video track, but at the same position (in time). So you have 2 copies of the clip over eachother on 2 tracks.
- add a "gaussian blur" effect to the bottom one (use small kernel size like 0.03 or 0.05)
- add a "cookie cutter" effect to the upper one with
* shape=circle
* method=cut away all but section
* feather = 1.0
* size=0.5
play around with the controls to finetune. It is not the same as varying the kernel size of the blur, but looks neat.

How to make a video out of a game?
Pressing print screen helps us take a snap of anything in the screen. Similarly, I want to take a video of something happening in the screen (eg., any game). Can anyone suggest a software for it?
p.s. dont suggest ideas like focusing a video camera to the monitor.
Or you can use a screen capture program called FRAPS.

Well worth the money. The free version leaves a watermark in final video, but at least you can check it out before you buy.
