i need a software that will surveillance my Bed room with TWO USB Camera's.

it needs to start and stop at certain times.
Record them both at one time [One in the top right corner]
Allow me to connect to them through another computer.

Camera's are:
Eye Toy
&
Xbox 360 Vision Camera.
a software kind of like WebCamMax but allows me to set times to record and connect and see them remotely though another computer.

I was wondering if anyone knows any software that can edit video (magnify mainly) security camara footage.

A friends car got stolen (gated community) and of course the complex doesn't know what to do with the footage, and the police don't really care, so he asked me to see what I could do with the footage, try to get a license plate or a face.

Anything could help, doesn't have to be free software. Thank you!

Depending upon the kind of camera, the lens and the type of sensor, there may not be a whole lot that you can do. If the 'action' happened 40 - 50 feet away with a wide angle lens, there likely isn't too much quality available there to zoom with.

However, I'd suggest that you try Adobe Photoshop. If you're good with that program, you can do some amazing things. I use a program called IrfanView. It is okay for minor touch ups but it doesn't really do the job for the really major jobs.

Incidentally, this is one of the reasons that I suggest using a computer as the heart of your surveillance system!

I've installed 4 samsung surveillance's cameras. I've networked them to see live video from the shop while I'm at home through the internet. I have a simple player that will record 10 mins at a time. I need to record from the time I leave at night to when I get back the next morning. Don't have much money for further equipment. Is there free or cheap software or something I can get to record as much video as I need for when the shop is closed.

X 10 has some really good someware that seems to be really good.
