Mini Video Recorder w/ Memory....MAJOR HELP NEEDED!?
Ive been looking around for answers for a while about this.
I am goin to make a mini recording camera for my car for the exterior.
A camcorder is to bulky for me, even the smallest.
Ive seent this done before i just dont know what to use...
I dont know what mini recorder/backup camera would actually save the recording to a memory device or my laptop. I would love for a store with these items if possible.
I dont really have a budget so cost isnt a factor, but it is only a freaking camera.
I CAN make a fiberglass box for everything so thats NOT a factor.
There are not that many places out there that can help with Fiberglass or Carbon Fibre, but one site that i have found that helps out alot is this one: http://carbonfibrecreate.blogspot.com/ its a thumbs up in my book!

When I go to caprute it is all at so low resolution it is all blurry. Help.
It is possible that you are using a capture device (such as Dazzle) to capture the data rather than using MiniDV which is almost always Firewire. The Capture resolution on your system may have been optimized for the speed of your computer. It is easy to check:
Open Windows Movie maker and select the capture device (Should say 'xyz camcorder') Then click record. Moviemaker is available for free download on microsoft.com if you don't have it. If the images come out ok, I suggest it's your software, if not, it's almost certainly your PC.

How do you create uploadable videos when your video camera uses mini DVD's?
A few weeks ago I bought a Hitatchi Video recorder that uses the rewriteable mini DVD's. I have the 5 fully used mini DVD's that I need to store on my computer so I can burn 1 single DVD for everyone. Since there is no USB for this thing its making it hard. On my PC I can view the mini DVD's on my DVD-Rom drive which is a rewriteable also.
Can anyone help me on how to do this?
It is very easy.
You use a programme such as Ulead VideoStudio - you take the mini-disc out of your camcorder and put it into the DVD tray of your PC making sure it sits centrally in the little depression made for it.
Inside VideoStudio you select "Insert DVD" and point the programme at the DVD and follow the prompts and the video is copied from the disc into the timeline of VideoStudio so that you can edit it - add lots of different videos together - add titles/music/narration - and finally burn to a full size DVD to play in a standard player.

i only have a $100
I got one for christmas and I was impressed by the overall quality of it but for some reason transferring the files from my computer to the player have been tricky and I can only transfer one at a time. With the coby mini there are 3 differant sizes 2 GB, 1GB and 512MB. I have the 1GB and it holds up to 500 songs. Also good luck trying to figure out how to get videos on there. Im pretty technology savvy and I still cant figure it out. The reception for the radio is horrid too.

How to convert mini dv tapes to video tape/vcr?
Is there a special tape that I can put my mini dv tape into, insert into the video recorder and it will convert onto the big tape? I am very confused and any help would be greatly appreciated.
No, there is no 'converter' cassette for this format, only for VHS/C. You will have to connect your camera to a VHS recorder and record onto a blank VHS tape. But you will be converting to a much lower quality picture!
There are some dual format machines as well for dubbing, you may find a cheap one on Ebay...
