You shold've been more specific on your location in India. But anyways, in Mumbai go to Lamington road and you will get the wireless camera for around Rs 1200/-. Even the roadside Keralite's sell this type of camera, but you'll have to haggle on the price.

Unfortunately, you did not provide enough info. There are many types of wireless nanny cams and there are many ways different ways to connect them. Most of the time, they can only be connected one way, so we may be able to take a guess, but that would be just that, a guess.

What's really important to know is what kind of connections does the receiving end of this wireless nanny cam has.

i would like about 4 and have the ability to have the information sent to my computer to be recorded. Also i do not want to be paying over $200 or $250 anything would be nice. I want them small enough to fit in a smoke detector or in a vent, thankyou

need a camera that would trasmit live pictures/video in colour video directly to my PC.

any ideas which one i should go for and why?

There are wireless IP cammeras made by several vendors.

I suggest you configure them with a static LAN IP and also provide the pc to which you wish to send the pictures to with a static LAN IP.

There are several good brands out there; I really cannot recommend one over another. Stick with a major brand and you are probably going to be satisfied.
