Preferably without having to know html or getting extra software beyond the stuff that came with my cam.

The software that came with the camera should be everything you need to install and get your web/spy cam up and working. The disk that came with it will contain drivers for your computer and software for running the camera.

As part of most software that comes with web/spy cams, they have a component for streaming across the internet with a few clicks of the button and without knowing HTML. The worst that it can do is provide you the HTML code that you just cut and paste onto a web page for showing the feed.

However, the software that came with the camera should be everything you need for your individual camera.

I can't seem to get it to do anything. Do I need a special program for it?

the programme should already be installed on there check your programme list or if it is not did you get a disc for it with the laptop and no it cant spy on you lol
