is Zone Alarm internet security and Zone Alarm force field good products to buy?
not the free zonealarm i mean the paid version and the paid force field?
thanks
herman that is not what i asked
Not really, if you are paying for a program, I would definitely go with another one. ZoneAlarm is not a well known program and it does not appear in most tests. Better off looking for a more reliable program like McAfee, Kaspersky, or Norton.

Zone Alarm Security Suite verses Norton Systemworks?
I've been using Norton System works for many years now and it has done a decent job at protecting many of my computes. I also use Zone Alarm Pro for my software firewall. That's a great product also.
However, recently Norton System Works has been giving me errors saying my Zone Alarm Pro is not working. But, Zone Alarm is working fine. I've contact Symantec's support and I'm not happy with their solutions. Norton gives me these big red alert boxes and X's that are always displayed if it 'seemingly' finds a problem with other software it monitors.
I'm getting a bit fed-up with Norton. It's a resource hog, red errors always being displayed, very poor technical support too, unless I pay for it. On the other hand, Zone Alarm Security Suite now includes anti-virus protection, plus a great firewall.
Should I dump Norton? Zone Alarm Internet Suite also allows you to use their program on up to 3 separate computers! I hate to leave Norton, but maybe it's time to.
Forgive my spelling errors. I noticed I cannot edit my question once I submit it.
Welcome to the club! I dumped Norton for the same lame responses as yourself. I now use Kaspersky and am thrilled with it. Picks up almost everything and instead of looking for errors in other programmes, it gives you the options.
The good thing about Zone alarm, is it has a pretty good stand alone virus package as well as good security backup. I think it is good to try other "equally good" products for a while anyway. So do yourself a favour.

I have zone alarm set to high for Internet and Trusted Zone Security. Someone is playing with our scroll bars?
How do I lock down the access with the Zone Alarm product to keep the hacker out? I'm using verison 7 of ZoneAlarm
I am willing to bet you don't have a hacker. No hacker would waste time playing with someones scroll bars. A hacker would quietly be searching your computer for your personal information,,,your passwords, your website IDs, your credit card numbers!

Cyclists, would you consider buying this security product for your bike?
http://www.greenspeed.us/bike_alarm_lock.htm
why or why not?
have you ever had your bike stolen?
have you had any other concerns of security for your bike?
thanks for your help,
student of electronics
It looks like a good idea and should be a deterrent to a would-be bike thief.
I've had 2 bikes stolen. The first one was someone entered an unlocked basement and took it. The second one was totally my fault; I forgot the bike was outside and went to sleep that night. The next morning it was gone.
I don't worry about the security of my bikes now. At home, they're inside with the house locked. When I ride to work, I bring it inside the building.

zone alarm internet security suite 2008-2009?
is zone alarm a good internet security to buy for full protection.whats your rating...which product do you recommend
Zone alarm is a good security suite. There are a couple that may score a higher in detection. The Firewall is one of the best. The anti-spyware is a little weak. You will take a hit on web browsing. It will add about 25% to the loading of web pages. Almost all of the security programs slow web surfing some. The reason is most scan web pages before they are allowed on your computer. My top choice is Norton Internet Security 2009
Which uses less ram than any other Security Suite. Next it would be Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. Which is very nice if you like to tweak your security software. But Kaspersky will add about 60% to your web browsing. Kaspersky Labs is working on this and I don't know if they have improve the time yet. You can always try a free trial of the Security Suites and see which one runs good on your computer
.Just remember when you uninstall a security Suite you must turn off everything open the program and turn off every feature. That way you will get a good uninstall. This the next program you try will install right.
On March 31, I again had the distinct honor of being able to reveal and present the Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) Award’s annual winner. This year it was Atronic Alarms of Lenexa, Kan., with Custom Alarm of Rochester, Minn., and ADT Security Services of Boca Raton, Fla., being the other finalists. You can read all about it in the May issue of SECURITY SALES & INTEGRATION.
The PDQ program is near and dear to my heart as it developed out of a concept I presented to Stan Martin, now executive director of the Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC), and Larry Dischert, now retired but at the time director of industry and regulator liaison for ADT, during an ISC West show earlier this decade. A couple of years later the vision was realized with the addition of the False Alarm Reduction Association (FARA).
Established jointly in 2005 by SSI, SIAC and FARA, the PDQ program aims to curtail the false alarm problem by recognizing installing and monitoring companies that follow established industry best practices and partner with law enforcement to achieve the highest quality in police dispatch requests. The goal is to raise industry-wide awareness, motivate alarm firms to be proactive and provide models that work for others to follow.
As is often the case, I gathered far more material than could possibly be shoehorned into the print article and so here I give loyal Under Surveillance readers the second part of five bonus postings covering this year’s PDQ program. This installment allows you to learn more about Atronic’s secret weapon in achieving its winning ways -- its third-party central monitoring station, Kansas City-based Alarm Central. The monitoring provider's general manager, Jeremy Wyble, gives his perspective of the false alarm issue.
Alarm Central is the first third-party central station to be associated with winning the Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) Award (the previous three ran their own centrals). How does that feel?
