Is there a way to turn on an adt security system alarm without monitoring?
I am leasing a business space with an ADT alarm system in it, but it is not activated. I was just wondering if anyone knows how to turn on the alarm part of it without having to be monitored by ADT, there are neighbors here by the business that would call the cops as fast as ADT, I just need the alarms.
You will need a user manual for your particular model so you can set the codes to activate it, etc.
Ask ADT or the manufacturer of the alarm or the owner of the store for a copy.
Worst come to worst, activate it with ADT for a couple of months, so they can help you set it up and then cancel it.

how can I find people who need a security alarm system for their home or business?
I work for ADT Security Services.
My job is to go out and knock on peoples doors and find those who are interested in a free alarm system for their home, with installation include. There is a $99 activation fee and they have to pay monitoring fees of about $30-$50 per month.
How can I find local people that are searching for something like this without having to knock on doors. I really want to generate sales without having to knock on doors.
More like people calling me interested to join instead.
Please help.

How do I disable an alarm system on my Chevy S-10?
My truck won't start. The battery on my truck was dead, so I charged it up and my alarm went off. I forgot to push the valet button and now my truck won't start. I have a 1991 Chevy S-10 and the alarm is a Excalibur 1600 atv (after market). The alarm system has been discontinued and the place where I bought it is out of business. Please help!
Try to find a button inside the truck known as the "secondary disarm". It is usually located in the driver's side kick panel or under the dash on the driver's side.
After you reconnect the battery, turn on your ignition, then press this button. The alarm should turn off.
Or, you can try unplugging the brain of the alarm.

Serious answers only, please. Home alarm system problem........?
We have a home security system that was installed 13yrs ago.
The company is out of business. The alarm system is hooked up throught the phone line for monitoring that is not in service.
We have cable, along with the digital phone which is ran through the cable.
Whenever cable goes out, the alarm sounds.
Is there a way to disconect the phone line from the alarm system?
There is a locked box in one of the closets and I cannot get into it unless I break it, which then I don't know what will happen and not too sure what wire to cut.
Cable company and phone co. have no answers. Alarm companies tell me it's not their system, so I am out of luck there.
Any electrical techs out there to help me?
There is no bypass on the keypad for this function.
I tried that already. It has to be disconnected throught the line somewhere.
Ah, I remember this problem.
The most effective way to get the problem solved is to have a company come out and see if they can take care of it or replace the alarm panel. I'm surprised that local companies are looking away from work. You might want to try a few other companies and not the Big ones.
If you want to mess around abit and risk frying the panel if you do it wrong - For which I take no responsibility. Basically, if you hook 12 Volts DC to the telephone terminals on the alarm panel MAKE SURE THE PHONE LINE / VOIP IN IS DISCONNECTED. The terminals you are looking for are Tip and Ring or T & R. They are in different locations depending on the panel.
As far as popping the can lid, depending on the strength of the can this can usually be done with a screwdriver (Being carefull not to jam it in the panel and ruin the circuit board) or you can also look for a key around the top of the panel or under the lip.
