Recording EVP--can a device like hearing aids capture EVP?
So, most of us know how EVP is captured, and how it can be heard when it's captured with a device and played back.
Well, I was curious on the capture of EVP sounds with devices other than the recorders and such.... can hearing aids capture EVP? Can cochlear implants capture EVP?
Is it possible?
Electronic voice phenomenon (EVP) is a term used to refer speech or speech-like sounds that are captured on recorded media or other electronic devices and believed by some to be of paranormal origin.
As a cochlear implant is an electronic device EVP like
function can not be positively ruled out. The implants would have to be capable of saving or recording sound though.

Does FM listening devices work better than hearing aids?
I am hard of hearing and I wear hearing aids however in class last semester, I still had a very hard time hearing. The office of disability support on my campus offered a FM listening device. Will that work better? If so, what is the purpose of spending thousands of dollars on hearing aids (besides convenience) when you can get a listening device for so cheap? I have made appointments to get my hearing evaluated and my hearing aids checked.

The FM transmitter or the microphone and its components are used by your professors. The idea is to increase the speech signal and to decrease the background or ambient noise that your hearing aids may pick up.
The FM receiver can be an ear level receiver such as hearing aid audio boots. A boot is a small sleeve that fits over the end of a BTE hearing aid. The boot inserts the audio signal into the hearing aids' Direct Audio Input (DAI) interface. Not all BTE hearing aids have an audio boot interface.
Other receivers include: headphones/ear buds (typically for children with CAPD or ADD), a desktop speaker or a sound field system located around the classroom (everyone benefits from this).

I need a hearing aid device?
I have trouble understanding some people speak because they're so quiet and higher pitched.
I notice I can hear fine if I just hold my external ear slightly forward to make a cone so i can hear fine.
Besides electronic amplifier hearing aids, are there any cone-like hearing aids that duplicate the effect of holding the external ear forward a little bit?

can people with hearing aids be on broadway?
dont they have to wear a hearing device that can help them hear the orchestra and stuff. can you still be on broadway and act and sing?
Of course, just look at actress Marlee Matalin. She's legally deaf, but uses special hearing aides and has performed on Broadway, has a successful career on television and film... It can be done!

I always see a hearing aid in his ear. Is it a hearing aid or a communication device? If it is a hearing aid what des he need it for? I am just curious, I love watching Dinner Impossible.
