The boss added gps to the nextel phone I use at work, is there a way to fool or mask the location besides taking the battery out. If you are out of the phone service area can they still track you? I guess they can since they use satillites to gps you and cell towers for talk but can you fool the sats?

The GPS in the Phone doesnt tell your boss where u are it just tells u your location and if u are in the right direction to your destination if u so tell it your destination

I'm looking for an inexpensive solution to be able to track and locate a small fleet of trucks. We have Nextel i355 phones which I believe are GPS-enabled. We'd like to be able to locate and verify a truck's location via the internet. We do not need any ability to provide directions to the driver.

Any suggestions for me? Should I additionally post this message on a logistics board?

it all depends on how much money you want to invest, I have a feeling Nextel will be the most practical but if you do some research online and from the companies you can find out more information as to what will work for your budget.

GPS tracking should be in your setup or tools menu. You should also have a couple of options that you can select. It is more a function of your cell phone service provider than it is of the phone it's self. The cell service generally dictates what functions are to be supplied by the phone manufacture in the phones they purchase. Hence, a particular Motorola will have different functions supplied in a Verizon phone then in , say, a Cricket, even though the phones are the same model.

I want to tap a phone under her car too see if she is cheating on me. I dont want to spend so much money on a GPS system. So can i just use the nextel phone with GPS as a GPS system?

I don't' know, but you can use it to bug your house to listen in on conversations she is having. Just turn the ringer and vibrator off, set it to auto-answer, place it in a hidden location and when your not home call that phone and you can listen to what's going on in your house. This also works good for child-care services, babysitting, etc. Pretty clever huh.

There are none unless you pay a premium to track phones there is none that you can go just to see were the phone is.There is a small program you can get to track somebody with a nextel but the person has to be aware of the program because they have to start it so its not convenient to just spy on your hubby or GF but anyway is called mologogo.com .

if its your first month,they put that gps program on it.and the expensive web account automatically.they did that to me and i didnt agree to it when i signed the contract.you have to call customer care to get them off the bill.
