Electronic BUG Repeller?

We bought a camper that seems to have ants in it. So we are using an electronic bug repeller and it seems to be working. We want to bring our gerbil but I'm afraid we can't because it repells mice so then it would also repel gerbils. Does anyone know of any electronic BUG repeller that just repels bugs and not rodents?

I don't know any from experience, but i found a website that might be helpful to you :

What's the best electronic pest repeller? You know, the things you plug in the wall and they make bugs go away

We bought some from Taget, that are black and decker.... they seem to be working, but not as well as we'd like, I just want to know if there is a better brand to use.

I've only heard of Ridx or RidEx but it only works on rodents, not bugs. Trust me, we live in the south and have LOOKED and LOOKED.

Do those electronic pest repellers really work?

Has any 1 tried those pest repellers that are supposed to keep bugs & mice away? They are supposed to omit a sound that only the pests can hear & drive them away. I want to know if they really work. If so what brand did you use?

In a word,,,,NO. My dear old daddy always told me that if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.

These devices are just a way to line a scamsters wallet. Save you money and stick with the tried and true methods.

I bought a house and found out that we have mice. Does the electronic pest repellers work?

I looked on the internet and saw that they have these electronic things that you just plug in the outlets and they are suppose to get rid of bugs and mice. I have mice and probably bugs too! I need to get rid of them as soon as possible. Nasty varmits! just checking cheaper options.

I've found that most of the electronic repellers do not work. I don't know the brand names of the ones which seem to work, but there's a much better way to get rid of mice... and it's not poison.

1) Find where they are getting in.
2) Block those areas with copper wool, hardware cloth and Liquid Nail.
3) Set traps... lots of them (15 at least). Bait them with peanut butter or cotton balls (tie the cotton balls on with lots of thread but make sure it's still fluffy in spots). Use the old-style snap traps, not the glue traps.
4) Clean-up the mouse poop. Use lysol to wet it BEFORE you vacuum or clean it. Hantavirus is a serious threat and can kill you in only a few days.

Mice can be cured, don't give up.

Has anyone tried those electronic pest repellers?

They plug into a wall outlet and are supposed to repel rodents, spiders, bugs, etc. by using ultrasonic waves. I'm thinking about trying one but have never heard anyone say how well they work.

Don't bother. I bought 2 several years ago. One day I saw a mouse sitting right in front of one grooming itself. Probably thought it was a radio. Called the Mfg. Set it back and they sent another one. Same thing. Now I use "sticky" traps baited with a "shelled" peanut. Works great!!!

Case Study: Free Sleeping in South Florida

The ultimate way to test a survivalist is to drop him off in the wilderness with only a hunting knife and see if he can stay alive. I do pretty much the same thing but in an urban environment. As a furloughed airline employee flying standby, I often find myself spending the night in cities I never intended to visit with little more than the clothes on my back and $20 in my pocket. My test is to see if I can sleep safely and comfortably in these places using the limited resources I have.

I faced just such a test about three weeks ago when I left San Diego for something resembling "work" in Miami. I had to get to the Miami airport to pick up a car to drive a few states north. The only trouble was this was February school vacation week, the peak travel time to South Florida, and all of the flights there were fully booked. Getting into Florida seemed darn near impossible.

Instead of a hunting knife (which would never pass airport security), I travel with a backpack full of electronic equipment, assuring me some sort of connection to the internet. In my current "adaptively homeless" lifestyle, internet access can often mean the difference between success (a good night's sleep) and failure (a miserable sleepless night).

First, I had access to my airline's load factors, so I could determine just how full the flights were. All flights to Florida were fully booked and most were also "overbooked," meaning more seats were sold than were actually available on the plane. Airlines routinely overbook flights on the assumption that some passengers won't show up, and if everyone actually checks in, they have to ask for volunteers to give up their seats. My chances of getting on an overbooked flight were next to nil, especially if other employees were waiting to fly, but if a flight was merely "booked" (the same number of reservations...
