Lady bugs are flying next to my ceiling fan and my curtains, how do I get them to leave my room? I live in North Carolina.

it's only in my room and there are dead ones every where and the ones alive to it gets annoying at night b/c you can hear them flying around and their mostly in my light how do i get rid of them? and why are they in my room?

They probably got into the insulation in the attic, last fall, and are now waking up and want out. You can vacuum them up, but they make your vacuum really smelly. I would use a general bug spray, leave the door closed, vacuum them up, then air out your room. They are not typical lady bugs, they are Asian lady bugs, that were brought here, to kill a disease on pine trees, and they got out of hand. They are now considered a nuisance bug. Yuk, and they will bite!

In my bedroom, which is pretty good size room, on every corner and around the perimeter of the room there are lady bugs. I know that it is bad luck to kill them. So they say. Does that mean theres good luck on the way?

Undoubtedly, you're familiar with this well-known children's rhyme, but do you know how it originated? In Medieval England, the farmers would set torches to the old Hop vines after the harvest, to clear the fields for the next planting. The poem was a warning to the aphid-eating Ladybugs, still crawling on the vines in search of aphids. The Ladybugs' children (larvae) could get away from the flames, but the immobile pupae (Nan) remained fastened to the plants (laces) and couldn't escape.

Legends vary about how the Ladybug came to be named, but the most common (and enduring) is this: In Europe, during the middle Ages, swarms of insects were destroying the crops. The farmers prayed to the Virgin Mary for help. Soon thereafter the Ladybugs came, devouring the plant-destroying pests and saving the crops! The farmers called these beautiful insects "The Beetles of Our Lady", and over time, they eventually became popularly known as "Lady Beetles". The red wings were said to represent the Virgin's cloak and the black spots were symbolic of both her joys and her sorrows.

Nearly all cultures believe that a Ladybug is lucky. Killing one is said to bring sadness and misfortune.

In Belgium, people believed that if a Ladybug crawled across
a young girl's hand, she would be married within a year.

In some Asian cultures, it is believed that the Ladybug understands
human language, and has been blessed by God, Himself.

i have lady bugs all through out my room, its disgusting! i cant stand bugs..any cheap home rememdies to get rid of them?

gently scoop them up and put them outside
ladybugs are gentle and WILL NOT HURT YOU
they are SO beneficial you don't want to kill them

and

finding them in your home is a sign of good luck

i have found hundreds of these little lady bug looking things in my room. they are brown with black spots or black with brown ones, and they rub off when you squish them with your finger, leaving the back black. they sound crunchy and they have hidden wings like ladybugs do. i've found them in my shoes, on my blanket, my pillow, my folders(paper) and on my windows. i dont know if they are coming in or trying to get out, but they are never ending. i have not seen any larve, and all the pictures ive seen of "carpet beetles" are all black beetles. im pretty sure they arent asian beetles. mosquitos love me, so im sure if they did bite, they would bite me. i havnt noticed any holes in my blankets/pillows, and they havnt gotten to my clothing.. i dont think. i wouldnt be sure, my cat claws at me sometimes, so i wouldnt know who the holes would be made by. does anyone know what they are and how i can get rid of them? i have a cat, so nothing to toxic please.
