i have a behringer xenyx USB audio interface mixer. i have plugged it into my macbook but when i play the guitar nothing shows up on garageband. maybe i plugged it in wrong or i have the settings wrong, please can someone help me.

I'm looking to buy a USB mixer on a budget around the £200 mark. Most decent ones i've seen don't have audio input or output, just the USB or power connectors =(
For DJ'ing, i've noticed that a lot of USB mixers only have basic leads such as the USB and power outlet. Im looking for one with Audio 5.1 output sockets also input ones.

You do not need a mixer for a mic that has a USB connection. The mic is doing all of the conversion for you so all you have to do is plug it in to your computer. If you need to adjust volume, you will have to use the controls within the software that you are using the mic for. This mic should work on most computers, just make sure that you have the correct driver on your windows computer. Have fun!
