I just download a voice changer thing just for fun and stuff, but when I use it, it sounds nothing like what the "man" or woman" is suppose to sound like. It has a bad echo and is totally off. Is there a way to fix this? If so, how? Thanks in advance.

I'm using an i-Mic (USB) as an audio input/output device, where I connect my microphone into, and speakers out of which provides great quality for what I'm doing (karaoke style singing with backing tracks, and sometimes recording this, using Audacity freeware).

But I'd like to hear my voice also come out of the speakers, and can't seem to make that happen - sometimes would like to do this when I have friends over, like a Karaoke party but we need to hear voice AND music out of the speakers! (Got GREAT surround speakers).

Can anyone help? I can't afford another device which I know would do it (along with the included software), I'm hoping some software is available that will do this! Have tried AV Voice Changer, but it doesn't do REAL TIME output (too much delay!)

you don't need any software,you've got everything you need...

simply double click the speaker icon in the system tray and uncheck the mute checkbox under microphone and anything you say along with the line in will come out of the speakers in real time. keep the mic far enough away from the speakers to prevent feedback and you should be good to go. i do this when recording a preliminary track playing one of my guitars just to get a rough idea of the rhythm and vocals when i'm working on a song with no problems...

you can record any line in/vocal mix to wav with audiograbber(the first link) and convert to mp3 with CDex(the second link)...

they're both freeware...

scrambling, the mic isn't even in. Is this normal?

Have you tried with the mic on i don't know about this program,but try with the mic on? thanks for the 2 points and hope somebody knows the answer.
