I downgraded my vista to an xp, I used the operating system disk that came with my other computer which is a gate way The computer im using now is a compaq. when i finished the downgrade i found out that my audio doesn't work. when i went to check what was going on it says i didn't have any sound devices. Please help me
First you must check that the sound Card is connected to its place, if yes and windowscant detect it, go to My Computer righclick Properties > Hardware > Device Manager, than it will appear a list of the devices (hardware) that is connected to your PC. So take a look and see if there is your sound card if didnt find it just Click Scan for Hardware changes option to enable the optin first you have to select one of the devices no matter which after you click it you will se a button appear under the Help option. than click the Scan For Hardware changes and wait for a second. If there is a Sound Card on your PC it will appear but it might have a Red Cross over it that means or it doesn have the proper Drivers installed or you have to just enable the device.
